W00!

So Sunday came after Fish Friday's on Saturday (I might explain that someday) and the much awaited box was picked up. I got it home from the store and was horrified to discover that it has blinky lights the motherboard. I've since come to grips with them (as annoying as they are) and have named my computer Blinky.

Having all new hardware has it's disadvantages - the install was a bitch! It took several hours to get the Blinky working. Untill I got SP1 installed XP Professional was slow as dirt and had crashing problems. Once I got it all tackled I was ready to go. I have to say I'm thrilled with performance - not only is Photoshop CS silky smooth and responsive, but just using the computer is fun. Multitasking is a breeze and I can watch a fullscreen DivX on the TV out while I'm working in Photoshop without it getting laggy.

This is already turning into a long week. Not only am I getting all psyched out about going to PMA in Las Vegas, but I'm also trying to get work moving along so I'll be able to be away for 5 days without getting buried.
